The Regional Training Group (RTG) oversees all training programs in the region. It coordinates trainers and designs trainings. The RTG is a resource for the Regional Conference, state meetings, cluster trainings and other training initiatives.

The Southern Region RTG was formed about three years ago at a time when members felt there needed to be a more cohesive approach to training. This committee, working with the Regional Planning Group, helps build membership capacity to organizing for human rights. Building from priorities established by the RPG, the RTG helps established delivery mechanisms (like the regional conference) become more effective as well as brainstorms new ways to deliver training (like the Regional Amnesty Acculturation Weekend for new volunteer leaders). We also serve as a resource to groups devising their own trainings (like state meetings and clusters).
